  What is going on?

Don't waste your time on the Fullmoon Party if you don't like to meet people from all over the world.

There are about 10,000-20,000 people every month at this Koh Phangan beach party. It is known as the Full Moon Party. International and Thai DJ's are making the crowd go wild. Paint yourself in UV colors and let your body lose control. The DJ's play all kinds of music; techno, trance, goa, drum n' bass, dub, reggae, "commercial hits", house etc on about 15 soundsystems along Haad Rin beach. There are also many small tables on the beach where you can sit down with your friends or meet new ones from all parts of the globe. You can order drinks and food from the restaurants and the bars next to the Had Rin Nok beach.

Thousands of happy guys and gals dance to pumping beats on a "paradise" beach in the moonlight. Or sit in the sand at small tables with some friends and cheer a "Thai whiskey set" with local spririts like Meakong or Sang Som If you prefer beer, try a cold Thai beer such as Singha, Beer Chang, Kloster etc. There are often other beer brands such as Heineken, Tiger, Corona etc. available on many of the bars and restaurants and of course a number of non-alcoholic alternatives like fruit juices, fruit shakes and soft drinks

On Had Rin Nok beach, on the South-East of Koh Phangan island in the Suratthani province, Thailand.

Important! We are not the organizers of this event. Some of the dates above might be incorrect. Please check with any travel agency in the area about a week prior to the party.

Beware of drugs Unfortunately this party sometimes has been associated, with some drug abuse. Even young people can be sentenced to a long time in prison if they are arrested with drugs on them, or even having it in the blood. Both uniformed and undercover police officers are ready to intervene if they suspect drug trafficking or that people are under influence of narcotics.

Use proper shoes or sandals so you don't ruin your holiday by walking on a broken bottle etc. This actually happens.

Do not accept any food or drinks from strangers and leave your valuables in the hotel's safety box etc. Beware of pickpockets. Theft is not very common but unfortunately it happens.
